The Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society is pleased to announce their “2008 Physician of the Year”, Dr. Andrew Gross. Dr. Gross is the immediate past president of the society and has served on the board for the past seven years.

Dr. Gross is a member of the Board of Directors for the Florida Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association. He received his “Fellow Award” from the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians in 2007 and serves as a delegate to their annual “Council of Delegates” meeting.

Dr. Gross is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He served his internship and residency at University General Hospital in Seminole, Florida. He currently serves as a member of the Medical Executive Committee at Largo Medical Center and as a member of the Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee at Sun Coast Hospital a facility of Largo Medical Center.

Dr. Gross has served as preceptor, clinical instructor and on the teaching faculty at the Northside Hospital and Sun Coast Hospital. He is further affiliated as Medical Director at five nursing homes in this county.
