Legislative activity is a year round process. The PCOMS office is in constant touch with the FOMA Tallahassee office and is provided with legislative information that is passed on to our members. Through the "Key Contact" program, effort is made to maintain contact with the Pinellas County legislative delegation on a year-round basis. This is done either personally or with letters and phone calls. This program has been recognized by the FOMA as being one of the most effective grassroots programs in the state.
During the election year, PCOMS conducts a "Legislative Night" for members to personally meet candidates and discuss the issues. This is always a highly attended event by PCOMS members and canidates for county and state offices.
Each year PCOMS selects the "legislator of the year" from the pinellas county delegation.
