1. Liaison With Area Media

PCOMS often receives request for physician and staff comments on relevant issues. They have participated in radio and television programs, discussing health issues and featured in newspaper articles.

2. Medical - Legal Liaison

This is an ongoing program that provides PCOMS members legal counsel and direction regarding legal issues confronting the physician.

3. Employment Candidates

The Society office maintains a free employment service for members that provides applicant referral to physicians' offices upon request. The Society office also assists osteopathic physicians seeking to relocate to the area, or members and affiliate hospitals in finding new osteopathic physicians.

4. PCOMS assistance and support

PCOMS assists and supports the association of health care managers in Pinellas County and has established a certification process for medical office managers.
